SOUNDPROOFING MATS have excellent sound insulation properties. They can be used as a sole sound insulation layer or as part of a multilayer composite with other materials.

These soundproofing sheets are extremely effective at improving the sound insulation properties of lightweight plasterboard partitions, floors and almost anything else !! Two to three layers can be used on hard floors to reduce noise transfer dramatically.

It can be used in ceiling contrsuctions, walls etc. and can almost double the soundproofing performance of a standard lightweight stud partition.
Soundproofing mat is particularly effective at reducing the critical dip (or coincidence) frequency which is always present in standard plasterboard constructions as well as increasing the low frequency performance.

One layer has an average sound reduction index of 22dB (2.5mm thick)
Two layers has an average sound reduction index of 26dB (5mm thick)
Three layers has an average sound reduction index of 31dB! (7.5mm thick)


Our Spray Adhesive is ideal for sticking these mats to floors, walls and ceilings.

  • Soundproofing Mats consists of a high density, highly damped, 5Kg per sq.m. mineral loaded flexible thermoplastic polymer that is as effective as a sheet of lead at stopping the transmission of sound. It acts as a thin, dense sound barrier layer in walls, ceilings or floors and it's most effective when used as one component of a multi-layered construction scheme.

  • Soundproofing Mats help in decoupling studwork, floors, walls, brackets and just about anything else.

  • Soundproofing Mats are easily cut and formed with a knife or scissors.
