Maximum Noise Reduction at Minimum Mass!

NEW: This innovative material utilises nano vacuum technology, synthetic rubber and special fillers producing a revolutionary new acoustic membrane.

THIN: At only 1.2mm thick this membrane provides minimum loss of room space for maximum noise reduction.

LIGHTWEIGHT: At only 2Kg/ m² it is easy to handle and carry. Work can now be carried out by a single person.

FLEXIBLE & VERSATILE: Easily folds and bends round corners and edges to protect against flanking sound.

EASY TO CUT & INSTALL: Simple to work with no fibres or bulky mineral wool making for a quick, easy, home improvement product.

SUPERB ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE: High sound reduction performance (22dB Rw) for such minimal thickness.

EXCEEDS BUILDING REGULATIONS: The membranes performance is well in excess of Part E of the Building Sound Regulations when used in conjunction with other materials.

DIVERSITY: Can be used in both new build and refurbishment work for domestic houses, flats, hotels etc.

INSTALLATION:-

Generally the membrane is best fixed between plasterboard sheets or even beter stapled over stud faces before plasterboard sheets are added. This gives the best performance however a party wall can be nominally uprated using the details below:-

1. Measure the wall drop and add 25mm to all overlaps then cut the membrane to size.

2. Apply our spray adhesive to both surfaces, i.e. approx. 250mm across the top of the wall and 250mm across the top of the membrane. Leave to dry for approx. 1 min.

3. Position the membrane near the wall allowing for all overlaps. Press into position adhering both glued surfaces.

4. When adhering membranes adjacent to one another repeat the procedure and overlap the joints by at least 25mm.

5. The membrane should now be hanging from a fixed point at the top of the wall like a curtain.

6. Repeat this procedure until the whole wall is covered.

7. Plasterboard over the top of the membrane, staggering the joints from the first layer using as few screws as possible.
