SPACED LAYER SOUNDPROOFING MATS Spaced layer mats are primarily intended for the improvement of the sound insulation of resonating sheet metal enclosures. These barrier mats are also particularly useful for insulating pipes, ducts, vehicle bulkheads cars and machinery enclosures. Usually the foam side is fixed to the substrate allowing the barrier layer to be isolated although in some situations it may prove beneficial fixing the other way around. |
|
SANDWICH LAMINATED SOUNDPROOFING MATS The lead barrier being more flexible and without a memory is particularly suitable for application to curved surfaces because it retains its shape when bent. |

These composites are specifically designed to reduce noise from enclosed areas where a high degree
of soundproofing is required combined with resistance to wear and tear. This materials is usually applied with
the thin layer of acoustic foam fixed to the substrate and the thicker layer of film faced foam facing the noise source. |
